BALANGA CITY, Bataan – One of the best performing multi-purpose cooperatives in the province won the most coveted award for most outstanding and excellent performing cooperatives in the medium-sized category recently.
Ms. May A. Hizon, general manager of Capitol Employees of Bataan Multi-Purpose Cooperative (CEMBA), stressed the Capitol Employees Cooperative topped the ‘Galing Bataan’ plaque of recognition recipients in the province.
Ms. Hizon identified the two other awardees as Cupang West Multi-Purpose Cooperative for small-type classification and Iwahori Multi-Purpose Cooperative under large level category.
According to Ms. Hizon, Cemba’s objective is to ensure transparent operations and provide high quality products and services.
As one of the leading conduits of agricultural credit policy council, it has provided easy access to members in the fields of faming, livestock growing and fishing.
Cemba started eleven (11) years ago with 53 original incorporators and a minimal capital of P 262,000.00 however, today it has a total of 1,050 registered active members with an estimated asset of P 81 million as of October, this year and offering 18 types of services.
