BALANGA City, Bataan – As the Christmas season nears, the City Government of Balanga
under the dynamic leadership of Mayor Francis Garcia, has kined up a series of activities that will surely be enjoyed not only by the Balangueños but of the Bataeños as well.
Among the list of events in store are the Panuluyan themed “Pagsilang… Isang Paglalakbay,” Grand Switch On of Christmas Lights at the Plaza Mayor and The Night with MSGC to be held at the Crown Royale Hotel, on December 2.
Come December 3, PRC’s Million Volunteer Run 4 and the Birds Spoken Poetry by Times inThe Yard will be executed.
The highlight of the Paskong Balangueño is the 7th Ibong Dayo Festival that will run from Dec. 5-8 at the Balanga City Wetland and Nature Park. Activities include: Origami-Making Contest for Elementary School students, Birdhouse Making Contest for high school students, Bird-Painting Contest for Artists, Bird Photo Contest for Photographers, Festival Blog-Making Contest for College Students, Feather Run: “Lipad ng Kamalayan, Takbo para sa Kalikasan” and the Mangrove Planting and Trade Fair.
Other activities include: Gabi ng DepEd: “Lakbayin, Kasaysayan Natin” on Dec. 10, Farm Family Day on Dec. 12, Gabi ng Tech-Voc Schools on Dec. 14, Gabi ng BPSU on Dec. 16, Gabi ng GenPact on Dec 17, WOW Pulis on Dec. 18, WOW Guro on Dec. 19, L’oreal’s Hair and Gown Fashion Show, Gabi ng “His & Her Salon”: Gift-Giving with Ryan Gee and COB Christmas Party both on Dec. 22, Barangay Seal of Good Local Governance on the 27th, Rizal Day, State of the City Address (SOCA) and Gabi ng mga Bituin on the 30th.
The Paskong Balangueño 2016 will revolve around the theme: Pagtuklas ng Galing… Tuloy Pa Rin!
