First aid kits for kids

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A turnover ceremony of first aid kits was held today, April 7, 2017 at the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), this City.

Dr. Francisco Hermoso III of the Department of Health (DOH) Bataan led the turnover ceremony. A total of 231 first aid kits were given by the DOH Regional Office III to the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) under Mrs. Marilyn C. Tigas who will then distribute said kits to the child development teachers/workers of the different municipalities here in Bataan. These first aid kits will be used for the emergency management of daycare workers and the whole barangay as well.

Contents of the first aid kits are the following: Paracetamol, Povidone Iodine, surgical gauze, gauze pad, elastic bandage, plaster, adhesive strips, Oresol pack, ethyl alcohol, antiseptic soap, digital thermometer, cotton, and tackle box.

This event was made possible through the efforts of Governor Abet Garcia, acting on the request of PSWDO. It is the first time that they’ve come up with this kind of event but surely not the last.
