BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Governor Albert Raymond S. Garcia has asked the consultancy firm commissioned by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Infrastructure zone Authority (TIEZA) to expedite the preparation of the master plan for the Mount Samat Shrine of Valor in the upland village of Liyang, Pilar town, Bataan.

Garcia reiterated during the technical working committee meeting held at Bulwagan l building in the capitol compound the other day that the master plan would become the basis for local and foreign investors to participate in the total strategic and comprehensive development plan of Mount Samat into a premier tourist destination in the country.

Garcia, principal author of the Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) which is the leading investment hub in the country, said the Mount Samat Shrine reflects the undying heroism of patriotic Filipino and American soldiers for defending democratic ideals against foreign invaders, is one of the best salient points to fascinate investors from participating in the rehabilitation and development of the sacred ground.

Berkman International which presented anew the preliminary tourism master plan report, however, assured the provincial executive and committee members to present the extensive master plan in few weeks.

Governor Garcia said several investors are enthusiastic about the master plan which would determine in what specific areas they would take part and to specifically determine their involvements in the world-class tourism project.
