Founded in 1939 by the great triumvirate – Francisco dela Rosa, Alfredo Angeles and Florentino Simeon, Jose Rizal Institute (JRI) Orani’s second year of operation abruptly ended due to the outbreak of the 2nd World War. But just like the legendary phoenix, the school reopened in June 1946 and since then, JRI has always been in the forefront in the field of education.
Over the years, JRI Orani has produced outstanding alumni who have distinguished themselves in government, the military, the private sector in almost all fields of endeavor such as engineering, education, commerce and industry, and science and technology.
To name a few are: Mrs. Florita Rubiano-Villar, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Undersecretary for Programs and Policies; Retired General Francisco Cruz Jr. of the AFP; Retired BIR Commissioner, Atty.
