Mayor Inton requests 25 million from DPWH for Hermosa

HERMOSA, Bataan – In his bid to make his hometown a safer place to live and conduct business, Mayor Jopet Inton, has requested P25 million fund from the Department of Public Works and Highways to put up more street and barangay lights in his town.

A neophyte in politics, Mayor Inton said that he had requested District Engineer Magrara Dimalawang of the DPWH 1st engineering district for the immediate funding of the said electrification project as part of his program to light up dark streets and highways in Hermosa.

Dimalawang earlier revealed that a huge amount of fund is still available from the DPWH Central office and that he can help local government units avail of the said funds.

The DPWH chief said however that once the electrical facility is installed the LGU will be the one to pay its electric bills and other future maintenance.

Inton is readying Hermosa to become the center of commercial and industrial establishment being the site of the Hermosa Special economic zone and is accessible to Metro Manila, SBMA and Clark.

“We are expecting the arrival of more investors to put up shops in our town and this means that more job opportunities and more income for the town’s coffers,” added Inton.
