BAGAC, Bataan – To further strengthen the spirit of camaraderie and independence among Girl Scouts, GSP Bataan Council held its 25th Junior and Senior Provincial Encampment at the Stella Mariz Beach Resort, this town, Nov. 10-13.

One of the much-awaited events is Miss Earth GSP 2016. The prowess of stunning beauties highlighted the value of nature thru recyclable materials turned into innovative and stylish long gowns. Thirty eight schools vied for the title with their respective representatives.

“Marami nang naibigay sa atin ang kalikasan. Sana hindi lang tayo puro tangggap, sana tayo naman yung magbigay ng kalinga”, stressed Anabelle Hernandez, from Bonifacio Camacho National High School. Anchored with this year’s theme “Paskong Bataan, Para sa Inang Kalikasan”, candidates showed their wit during the Question and Answer Portion. The challenging “hashtag” was given a twist to the issues concerning Mother Earth, which brought out the humor and brilliance of the candidates by relating the ideas significantly.

Gorgeous sweethearts filled the ramp as they project nature-inspired costumes from dance presentation to modelling. Candidates astonished the crowd with their exceptional magnificence. They were carefully assessed by the board of judges in the persons of Mr. Rodelio Buensuceso, (Dance Instructor), Mrs. Leonory Canare (GSP Commisioner on Program) and Mr. Norman Ravago (Master Teacher, Hermosa NHS).
