NFA-Bataan attends orientation on disaster-preparedness

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Employees of the National Food Authority (NFA) – Bataan Provincial Office attended on Tuesday, August 5, 2015 a briefing/orientation on Disaster-Preparedness, as part of the agency’s efforts to prepare everyone in case of any disaster/calamity that may affect the province.

NFA-Bataan Provincial Manager Adelaida C. Nuestro enjoined all employees to attend said activity, stressing the importance of being prepared for any eventuality and to at least be aware of the basic disaster-response methods.

FO1 Jenaz T. dela Cruz of the Balanga City Bureau of Fire Protection opened the program with a Fire Lecture and the basics in using a fire extinguisher. PO2 Ellen N. Ellano, Police Community Relations Officer of Balanga City PNP then gave a short lecture on Bomb Threat Awareness.

Last to give lectures were the personnel from Balanga City Rescue Team, Ms. Karleen Mae T. Inieto and Ms. Danica Joy Reyes. Their lectures consisted of the basic “do’s and don’ts” during earthquakes and other disasters/calamities such as floods, typhoons, and fires.
