“We are operating with an outlook of public service”.
HERMOSA, Bataan – Employees of the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) in Bataan and Zambales held Arbor Day.
The transmission company workers planted tree seedlings along the Roman Highway in Samal town. “We have planted about 600 tree seedlings in the area”, said Ernest Vidal, Regional Corporate Communication Officer.
Environmental conservation is one of the outlined thrusts of the NGCP’s corporate social responsibility.
A privately owned corporation in charge of operating, maintaining, and developing the country’s power grid, NGCP transmits high voltage electricity through “power superhighways” that include the interconnected system of transmission lines, towers, substations, and related assets.
Earlier, Vidal pointed out that they are “operating with an outlook of public service”.
