BALANGA CITY, Bataan – National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) aims to work closely with the local media for effective power reporting and accurate information dissemination.
“NGCP will work closely with media to be able to effectively disseminate information”, said Fely Francisco, NGCP Regional Communication Officer assigned in Bataan and other provinces during her radio guesting at 91.1 Sikat FM here on Thursday.
“This coming April there will be a meeting regarding the proposed Bataan-Zambales Energy Press Core”, she also said.
“It is not easy for the public to understand technical terms in the power sector, hence the need for credible press people who can present the news and put the right words so that people will have a full grasp on the idea”, she earlier said.
She also revealed a plan as a sort of “lakbay-aral” for media to tour NGCP facilities in the country as well as power generating sites.“This could help media people to have a better understanding of the power industry”, she said.
Francisco is regularly guesting in local radio stations in the province to urge the public to stay safe from transmission facilities and always bear in mind the NGCP safety tips.
