Orica PH ties up with Bataan PNP

CAMP CIRILO TOLENTINO, Bataan – The Bataan Provincial Police Office and the Orica Explosives Philippines on Monday (January 25, 2016) signed a Memorandum of Understanding that sets the terms of support the multi-national explosives manufacturer in Limay town will give to the Bahay Pag-Asa Reformation Center.

Bataan provincial police director, Senior Superintendent Rhodel O. Sermonia welcomed Orica Philippines as the first multi-national corporation operating in the province to throw its support to the institutionalization and sustainability of the Bahay Pag-asa Reformation program, a game changer strategy designed by the police to proactively address the epidemic of illegal drug abuse.

Orica Philippines, represented by Homer L. Rana, supply chain manager in its Limay plant signed the MOU with Sermonia Monday morning that defined the terms of their support to the reformation program, which Orica have adopted into their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program.

It is stipulated in the MOU that the Orica Philippines will dole-out P16,000 every month to the Bahay Pag-Asa Reformation Center and the support will continue for as long as the reformation center operates.

Sermonia expressed hope that other leading multi-national corporations operating in the province will follow the Orica Philippines in providing the much needed support, to ensure the sustainable operations of the Bahay Pag-Asa Reformation Center and help the province address the menace caused by illegal drug abuse.
