OWD collection efficiency cited

ORANI, Bataan – The Orani Water District (OWD) here is yielding a high 98% efficiency rating from its consumers.

This was revealed by OWD General Manager Benny Andres who said that the remaining 2 percent actually represent the consumers who are so busy with their jobs and other negligible reasons.
To date, OWD has 11,600 consumers and is still growing with the expansion program being undertaken by the management.

Andres said that the OWD is providing the water supply of Orani folk and two other barangays-Gugu and Lalawigan- from nearby Samal town.

He pointed out that the company is now on its 5th component project implementation, an expansion program to better serve the consumers.

Andres also revealed that a deep well is set to be established in barangay Gugu to boost the potable water supply of its three Sitios namely – Kasuyan, Hacienda and Sibul.
Residents of these three Sitios sometimes have short water supply due to the growing number of consumers. “Definitely, a deep well will be set up in Gugu to satisfy the needs of the public,” added Andres.
