ORANI, Bataan – The state-of-the-art new and bigger reservoir of Orani Water District (OWD) will be finished next month.
“The commissioning schedule of our new reservoir is on February 15”, messaged OWD General Manager Benni Andres. He said the glass-fused-to-steel reservoir is already 92 percent complete. It is located in Brgy. Mulawin, Orani.
The general manager explained that the original schedule of 3rd week of December last year of finishing the reservoir was not met because of the delay in the delivery of UK-made panels due to port congestion.
The OWD started last year the 5 components upgrade of its facilities to better service their members. Other components include well drilling, civil works, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA), and leak detection and monitoring set.
The fund of P101 million is being used for the 5-component works, which came from a loan at KFW Bank in Germany though the Local Water Utilities Administration.
