OWD to build another well from savings

ORANI, Bataan – The Orani Water District (OWD) will build another well from the savings it accumulated from the P84.25 million water supply and expansion projects consisting of five packages of works.

“According to OWD GM Benni Andres, the savings will be used to build another well”, LWUA Administrator Andres Ibarra announced during his speech on Tuesday at the inauguration of the OWD water supply and expansion projects in Barangay Mulawin here.

The water district saved P12 million from the 3 packages of works that included resource development, civil works, and glass-fused steel-bolted reservoir.

“We may also have additional savings for the 2 packages of works SCADA and leak detection equipment”, said Andres.

The fund of the projects came from the P101-million loan from KFW, a German bank through the assistance of Local Water Utilities Administration.

“OWD is one of the best managed water districts in the country, and their more than 10,000 household-concessionaires are assured of improved services including clean and quality water”, Ibarra said.
