CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan – To further instill among the youth of Bataan the significant role our province played in our history, more particularly the bravery and heroism displayed by our Filipino soldiers together with the American soldiers during the second World War, the Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) headed by Arch. Christina Enriquez is currently conducting the Bataan Historical Tour for 20 public high schools of the province, from March 14 to 29, to some of the historical places in Bataan.
One of the tour’s destinations is the Shrine of Valor in Mt. Samat, in Diwa, Pilar wherein participants of the tour will have the chance to witness the history of the province by having an encounter with historical markers and monuments in the place.
Another stop is at the Bataan Tourism Office located at the Roman Highway. Participants of the tour will have the chance to ask questions to the veterans about their experience during World War II in an open forum.
A total of 50 persons per school are preselected to join the said historical tour.
