Sola Fide Montessori School – nobility and quality education combined

“It is our commitment to provide quality education founded on sound Filipino Christian values with the end in view of producing God-fearing and law-abiding individuals who can make a difference and influence the lives of people in their respective communities and organizations.”

Others may call it a dream, still others may dismiss it as a shot in the dark, but to a distinct group of people, whose aspirations in life are way above the ordinary, it was more of a vision… a mission…. a legacy.

That dream, that vision, that mission, that legacy is Sola Fide Montessori School.

Suffice it to say that anybody in the world of the academe would agree that to put up a school, especially at this time, when the world is still feeling the effects of the economic crisis, is a shot in the dark. This endeavor, aside from being capital intensive, is also time consuming, complex, not to mention highly competitive and ironically, return of investment is very slow. The investors are fully aware of these so called “downside” in this field of endeavor.

But to dwell on these problems is like not seeing the whole picture. What about the nobility of the endeavor, the sense of fulfillment, the service to mankind, the chance to contribute even just a little to make this world a better place for the coming generations?

Hence, the decision to push through with turning that dream into a reality, concretizing that vision, fulfilling a mission and leaving a legacy to the future generation…

What started to be a dream, a “shot in the dark” sometime in October of 2007 became a noble reality in February 2008 when construction began in its present site today at Arellano Ave, Balut, Orani, Bataan. Everything else is history by now, so to speak.

Totally committed in pursuing their vision of being the center of academic excellence in the locality, the investors are not content on just putting up a school. They want their school to be way above the ordinary, and being firm believers of the Montessori system, they decided to apply for an affiliation with the Montessori Institute of America, and sent one of them to train for Montessori Teacher Preparation in the US. Having satisfactorily met the requirements, Sola Fide Montessori is now a bona fide member of said prestigious international academic institution.

With only 34 preschool and primary level students when it started its operation in 2008, Sola Fide Montessori is slowly yet steadily growing with about a hundred students in Casa and Grade School.

Ms. Estrella dela Rosa, the School Directress says that despite the fact that the investors are low keyed individuals, they do not hesitate to spend their hard earned money to finance various school programs and projects whenever necessary – to keep true to their commitment of providing students quality education using the Montessori approach.
