SSS airs last-ditch appeal to avail Loan Restructuring Program

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Social Security System (SSS) aired a last-ditch appeal tomembers to avail the Loan Restructuring Program of the agency.

“The  program will end on April 27, 2017 so I urge members to avail of it, in its remaining duration of  more or less 2 weeks”, said  Maureen Inocencio, SSS Senior Communication Analyst,  during her guesting at local radio station 91.1 Sikat FM.    

“The SSS launched the Loan Restructuring Program to provide an opportunity to delinquent members to settle unpaid loans”, she added.

“Members can pay their past due loan and interest in instalment basis. The program offers condonation of loan penalties”, she said. 

“SSS members cannot avoid paying their overdue SSS loans since these are deducted from final benefit claims such as retirement, total permanent disability and death. Any delay in loan payments lead to accumulation of interest and penalties”, she further explained.

The Loan Restructuring Program was launched April 28, 2016.
