SSS Mariveles hosts 5th Employers Day

MARIVELES, Bataan – The Social Security System (SSS) Mariveles Branch and SSS Main Office Member Relations Department jointly conducted the 5th Employers Day here that helped local employers get immediate answers to many SSS concerns.

Bella Bermudo, Head of Member Education Section of the Member Relations Department, and Jordan A. Herrera, OIC Branch Head SSS Mariveles, led the panel of SSS officers who answered questions and queries from representatives of local employers mostly locators at the Freeport Area of Bataan held at the hall of Romalaine’s Restaurant and Leisure Park on Thursday.

A significant part of the activity was the open forum between the panel of SSS officers and representatives of employers, which turned out to be very fruitful. Bermudo presented social security updates. She also gave a briefing on security duties and responsibilities of employers. Jhomer Gonzales, IT expert Members Relations Department, gave a detailed presentation of the SSS enhanced website.

In his message, Herrera pointed out that the Employers Day is meant to bridge the distance between SSS and employers for a better working relationship. “With this activity, we hope to establish better cooperation and coordination with you regarding SSS matters”, he told representatives of employers. “We at SSS are open for comments. Help us to be able to further serve you. Tell us what we might still be missing to be able to respond more efficiently to your needs”, he said.

SSS is conducting Employers Day nationwide. Herrera said he is very satisfied that the fifth staging of the activity was done in Mariveles. He pointed out that they have been conducting forums with employers in smaller group. Employers Day had greater number of participants, he added. Herrera also said that they are more than willing to hold forums with employers and even employees regarding SSS matters anytime.

Other SSS officers who attended were Normita M. Cruz, SSS Angeles City Branch Head; Rommel Paradeza, Account Officer Luzon Large Account Department; Rex Ramiterre, OIC Account Management System SSS Mariveles; and Mary Ann D. Dela Rosa and Cindy Bautista, Member Service Representative SSS Mariveles. SSS doctors and employees of SSS Mariveles also joined the activity. Bataan Board Member Peping Villapando also graced the occasion.
