DOST to install more automatic rain gauge equipment

CAPITOL, Bataan- The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will install in Bataan additional equipment for automatic rain gauge (ARG) and water level monitoring system to further improve its disaster imagination capabilities to local government units (LGUs) and reduce potential damages to properties and casualties.

 Dr. Victor V. Mariano, DOST Regional Director, informed Gov. Abet S. Garcia in his courtesy call Monday inside the Chief Executive office that DOST will install 10 more units of ARG and 24 more units of water level monitoring systems in various parts of the Province.

 Director Mariano thanked also the governor for donating an office inside the capitol compound to be used by the DOST provincial personnel to further improve their services to the public.

DOLE hires 22.8% on spot DURING RECENT JOB FAIR

Balanga City, Bataan- The Department of Labor and Employment Region 3 together with the Provincial Public Employment Service Office in Bataan conducted Jobs Fair on People’s Center Capitol Compound Balanga City Bataan and was able to hire 668 applicants.

DOLE exceeded its target of 15% from among the qualified Applicants that was  “Hired On The Spot (HOTS).”

The agency got 114 HOTS composing the 22.8% or  668 qualified applicants out of 758 jobseekers that joined the said job fair.
