PEO to undertake declogging of silted rivers in Dinalupihan and Hermosa towns

The Provincial Engineering Office (PEO) is undertaking declogging  of heavily silted rivers and tributaries in the two flood prone northern Bataan towns.

Engineer Enrico Yuson, PEO Head  identified the three major rivers in Hermosa and  Dinalupihan towns as Almacen, Caulaman and Layac as the priority projects this rainy season  since flooding cannot be avoided due to denuded forests in the mountain ranges in Zambales, Bataan and Pampanga .

Gov. Abet sponsors meat inspectors training

In its genuine commitment to strengthen the Province’s livestock industry, Gov. Abet, in coordination with the National Meat Inspection Service has sponsored a 3-day Orientation on Good Hygienic Slaughtering Practices (GHSP) for Locally Registered Meat Establishment (LRME) for meat inspectors from the 10 municipalities of Bataan (Pilar has no slaughterhouse) and the City of Balanga. Said orientation aims to equip the meat inspectors the necessary management and technical knowhow in slaughtering practices with the end in view of all slaughterhouses in the Province getting a double A or even a triple A accreditation from the NMIS. 

Bataan CSF members attend BSP seminar

As an offshoot of the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, simultaneous with the launching of the Bataan Credit Surety Fund (BCSF), a 2-day Compliance Seminar on Strategic Planning is currently being held at the Bataan Tourism Office attended by 39 members of the Bataan CSF.
