2017 PGB Strategic Initiatives Review

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Provincial Government of Bataan conducted a 2-day Strategic Initiatives Review of all its departments last May 17 and 18 at the Crown Royale Hotel, this City.

A review of the strategic initiatives of the 25 departments of the PGB is done to ensure alignment and impact to the province’s Vision.

Present in the event were Gov. Albert Garcia, Mayor Francis Garcia, Ms. Elisa Salon (DBM – Region III), Mr. Severino Santos (NEDA – Region III), Ms. Gemma Gabuya (DSWD – Region III), Ms. Josefina Serrano (COA – Bataan), Ms. Lynn Sicangco (COA –Region III), Dr. Lailani Mangulabnan (DOH – Region III), Dr. Francisco Hermoso III (DOH – Bataan), Mr. Agustin Mendoza (NEDA – Region III), Mr. Edgardo Cruz (CSC – Bataan), Mr. Nelson Sarmiento (CSC – Region III), and Ms. Adoracion Mangalino (DBM – Region III) who served as panelists of the activity. Also present were the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, PGB department heads together with their staff, and other stakeholders.

Each department head was given several minutes to present to the panelists the plans, programs, and accomplishments of their specific department. Included in their presentations were the following: Organizational Outcomes: alignment in the objectives in the 2020 Strategy Map, Sectoral Goals: components of the vision, strategic initiatives, baseline, target, and measure. After they have presented, the floor was opened for the comments, suggestions, and creative criticisms of the panelists in order to further improve their strategic initiatives.

After the 2-day event has come to a successful end, Gov. Abet congratulated all the participants for a job well done but not only that, he also bid them good luck because now, the work begins. “Ginagawa natin ito hindi para pahirapan ang ating mga sarili, ginagawa natin ito para mas lalong mag level-up yung ating serbisyo, na utang natin sa ating mga kababayan,” he concluded.
