BALANGA CITY, Bataan – A chess tournament open to all non-master chess players in the province will be held in this city on August 27. The venue will be in the hall of M.P. Cuaderno Elementary School in Barangay Sibacan.

Noel Ycasas, tournament organizer, said rapid game will be played wherein each player is given 20 minutes per game.He said registration fee is P300 each with free lunch. “Cash prizes, trophies, and medals will be given to winning players”, he said.

The tournament is under the auspices of Chess Arbiters Union of the Philippines. Ycasas is an accredited arbiter of the National Chess Federation of the Philippines.
