New FAB investor to employ 30,000 workers

   Garcia said that the company, a known expert in designing, developing and making footwear of the highest quality chose the FAB for their expansion in the Philippines. “Among the global brands that this company manufactures are six of the top casual footwear companies like Clarks, Deckers, ECCO, Rockport, Timberland and Wolverine.  Their list of clients include leading companies in fashion footwear such as Brian Atwood, Cole Haan, Guess, Jones Group and Michael Kors,” Garcia narrated.

   Stella International is also the maker of revered high-fashion brands like Alejandro Ingelmo, Alexander Wang, Bally, Burberry, Ivanka Trump, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Miu Miu, Prada, Sigerson Morrison, Vera Wang, Via Spiga and Y3, he added. Garcia also confirmed he recently had initial talks with its owner and Chairman of Stella International Holdings Limited, Jack Chiang, considered as one of the top 25 influential person in the world of fashion.

   Mayor Joet said that initially, the company will employ at least 5,000 workers then will raise it to 10,000 to 30,000 in the coming years. Four million shoes is expected to be produced in their first months of operation at the FAB wherein some part of its production lines will also be set up in chosen villages in Balanga City.
