Bataan Gov. Joet Garcia on Monday’s “Bisita Bayan” in Samal mentioned the increasing number of teenage pregnancy not only in Bataan but in other parts of the country as well.
Based on data available at the Provincial Population Office, incidents of teenage pregnancy in Bataan for the period January to May 2024 reached 704 and for 2025, number of teenage pregnancies is 635 for the same months. The governor expressed concern on the menace saying “the LGUs must do their share to avert the scourge that will affect the community and Filipino family.”
Ģov. Joet, together with Bataan Vice Gov. Cris Garcia and provincial board members joined in the flag raising ceremony with Samal town officials led by Mayor Alex Acuzar, barangay officials and PNP personnel.
