Pork’ scholar urge to unfreeze PDaf

WITH THE decision of the Supreme Court to freeze the release of Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) or “pork barrel” of lawmakers prior to the controversial issue of the government misuse of the Fund, BPSU as one of the beneficiaries of PDAF through http://subictimes.com/2012/07/03/dti-bataan-ranks-third-nationwide/infrastructure development and scholarship programs, is now directly affected bay dilemma in the national ground.

   Issues confronting the government ‘s abuse of PDAF created sensation to the scholar of the university as they pronounced their concerns on the dangling pork barrel funds from which they acquire financial assistance for their education.

    Mr. Reynan P. Calderon, Science and Research Specialist II, and Mr. Rudy C. Flores, BPSU Orani Campus Director attended the 5th International Symposium on Machinery and Mechatronics for Agricultural and Biosystems Engineering (ISMAB) at the Centennial Hall of Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan on April 5-7, 2010.

   This symposium was organized by the Japanese Society of Agricultural Machinery (JSAM) and aims to serve as venue for the exchange of ideas, scientific findings, and experiences in the fields of machinery and mechatronics for agricultural and biosystems engineering. BPSU embarks on ORGANIC Revolution

An agricultural revolution of the organic kind is unfolding in the province of Bataan, which has become synonymous with heroism and love for country due to its place in Philippine history.

In this province that depends largely on agriculture for its income, an increasing number of farmers are adopting the organic way of raising their crops and turning their back on using synthetic fertilizers and chemical pesticides to boost output.

This trend was brought on by the increasing consumer demand for healthier food as well as the realization that the land is losing its nutrients because of widespread use of chemical fertilizers.
