CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – It is indeed a wonderful day to start the week because of the continuous outpouring of blessings for the province of Bataan that were presented during today’s flag raising ceremony.
After the Provincial Cooperatives and Enterprise Development Office (PCEDO) led the flag raising ceremony and presented their accomplishments, there was also a number of big milestones for the province of Bataan that were presented.
First, the staff and heads of the Bataan General Hospital were present for the awarding of the ISO Recertification of the BGH. The content of the certificate stated that it was to certify that the Quality Management System of BGH has been assessed and registered for ISO 9001:2015 compliance with scope: the provision of emergency medical care, and in-patient out-patient services, surgical and general medical services, surgery, ophthalmology, internal medicine, pediatrics, ob-gynecology, anesthesiology, and dental diagnostics services such as imaging, laboratory, medical, social services, nutrition and dietetics, pharmacy and hospital information and records management, holistic nursing care services, and ambulance services.
After that, Ms. Azucena Sugatain reported on her office’s mandate and accomplishments, while Mr. Ed de Mesa, Investment Promotion Officer, announced that the Province of Bataan was ranked 1st in Central Luzon and the 7th Most Competitive Province in the Philippines by the National Competitiveness Council (NCC) for 2016.
Also, delegates of Bataan in the recently concluded Palarong Pambansa held in Antique were recognized for their continuous success.
Another highlight of the morning is the turnover and blessing of the ambulance donated by the Philippine Resins Industries Inc. (PRII) to Brgy. Batangas II in Marveles. Mr. Tetsuro Hachimura, PRII President, was present to give an inspiring message while Mr. Venancio Villapando from Brgy. Batangas II in Mariveles delivered the acceptance speech.
Board Members Jose Villapando Sr. and Noel Valdecanas also took part as they presented the Sangguniang Panlalawigan’s resolution about their appreciation and recognition to the PRII regarding their contribution to the community projects.
In his short message, Gov. Abet Garcia expressed his pride and gratitude for the outpouring of blessings that Bataan has been receiving.
