BM Precious Manuel launches Project 4K

In celebration of the indigenous people’s (IP) month, Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation President and Board Member Precious Manuel initiated a forum in understanding the problems that the youth are facing in the IP community in Bangkal, Abucay which is one of the four components of her Project 4K: Komunidad at Kultura ng KaBATAANg Katutubo held yesterday, October 29 at the Bangkal Resettlement Area.

The event started with a tree planting activity with 100 seedlings from the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) Dinalupihan, in support of the 1 Million Trees for 1 Bataan Challenge (1M41B), involving 50 students of Bangkal Resettlement Elementary School and Bangkal High School.

After the tree planting was the forum and laro ng lahi where students were given prizes in playing traditional Filipino games such as patintero, agawang panyo and sack race. Towards the end of the activity the IP members received hygiene kits and first aid kits.
