More JO employees to become SSS members

MARIVELES, Bataan – Social Security System (SSS) Mariveles Branch Head Jordan Herrera expressed optimism that more government job order employees in the province would become SSS members.

The branch head made the statement following their successful Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing last week making job order (JO) employees of the Barangay Alas-asin, this town, members of SSS.

About 125 JO employees of Alas-asin are qualified to become SSS members on a voluntary basis. Eighty six employees already signed up to become members.

Alas-asin is the first barangay in the province of Bataan to sign such agreement with the SSS.  

“We want more JO employees in the province to become SSS members”, Herrera said.

“We are hoping we can include in the program the JO employees of the Municipality of Mariveles”, he said.

When still the assistant branch head of SSS Balanga, Herrera worked for the membership of provincial capitol JO employees.   

In Bataan, tricycles operators and drivers, members of homeowners associations, some barangays, LGU job order employees, vendors, and inmates have become members of the social security through the diligent efforts of SSS Bataan officers.
