“According to the survey, we had noted that the primary concern of our constituents is employment. They want to know where they can find jobs. And this project is a way of providing them their utmost need,” says Gov. Garcia during a meeting with representatives from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Provincial Office, the different Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs) of the province and JobStreet.com last November 27 at Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar in Bagac.
The partnership features a job site powered by JobStreet.com that can be accessed via www.1bataan.com/jobs. The said career page will house job ads posted by Bataan-based employers- large companies and small-medium enterprises alike. Local PESOs and hiring organizations will be provided with intense trainings on the use of the back-end software so that they can post jobs, monitor applications and placement of candidates and generate reports to help them improve recruitment and hiring.
Meanwhile with the new job page, Bataan job-intenders can now apply without even going to the nearest PESO or hiring companies. They can just sign up for an online account with JobStreet.com; browse through the jobs at www.1bataan.com/jobs and apply. For those who walk in to PESOs, JobStreet.com will enrol them to the Bataan database system through the DOLE-required Skills Registry System Form. All those who have signed up online and were enrolled by JobStreet.com into the system shall receive job vacancy alerts either via email courtesy of Jobstreet.com and/or text blast from PESO-Bataan.
