NGCP donates “Gamit ni Bulilit”

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – Dubbed as “Gamit ni Bulilit”, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) donated school supplies to Grades 1 to 3 pupils of Bo. Central Elementary School (BCES), last May 24, this city.

NGCP is a company responsible for the distribution of electricity throughout the country through different electric corporations such as Peninsula Electric Corporation (PENELCO here in Bataan.

As part of their corporate social responsibility, they provide support to different elementary schools. A total of 170 pupils of BCES received bags and school supplies composed of ten composition notebooks, paper and pencil.

“Malaking tulong po ang mga school supplies na ito para sa pag-aaral ng mga anak namin”, Mrs. Laila A. Ramos uttered in joy as her grade 3 daughter received her bag of school supplies. “Makakatipid po kami sa pagbili ng mga gamit para sa pasukan”, she added.

Miss Lida May Lopez, Head of the Corporate Initiative Division stressed that education is one of the top priorities of their Customer Service Representative (CSR) outreach program.

Bo. Central Elementary School is grateful to be chosen as one of the recipients of NGCP’s  “Gamit ni Bulilit”, said Mr. Ramil R. Cubales, school principal. He also reminded the pupils to maximize every sheet of notebook to be used for SY 2017-2018.

This simple act of kindness sponsored by NGCP will somehow lessen the burden of parents in providing school supplies for their children when classes start come June 5.
