1B-peso mega drug rehab center to rise in Pilar

PILAR, Bataan – Assistant Secretary Baby Ignacio from the Office of the President yesterday conducted an ocular inspection at the site of the soon to rise mega drug rehabilitation center in this municipality.

Asst. Sec. Ignacio was assisted by Bataan-TRC staff headed by Dr. Liz Serrano, representatives of Pilipinong May Puso Foundation and Hermosa First Lady Anne Inton, wife of Mayor Jopet Inton.

The Bataan Drug Rehab Project is a joint project of the Office of the President, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government,  Provincial Government of Bataan, The San Miguel Foundation and Pilipinong May Puso Foundation.

Last December 2016, Bataan Gov. Abet Garcia together with Mrs. Inton signed the agreement between San Miguel Foundation (San Miguel Corp.) and the government to build and donate a new drug rehabilitation center in Bataan as part of the conglomerate’s P1-billion commitment to support the war against illegal drugs. 

Other signatories were Interior Secretary Ismael Sueno, Health Secretary Paulyn Jean Rosell-Ubial, SMC president and COO Ramon Ang, Cabinet Secretary Leoncio Evasco Jr., Pilipinong May Puso Foundation Inc. chairperson Rowena Kristina Amara Velasco.
