Gov. Abet sponsors meat inspectors training

In its genuine commitment to strengthen the Province’s livestock industry, Gov. Abet, in coordination with the National Meat Inspection Service has sponsored a 3-day Orientation on Good Hygienic Slaughtering Practices (GHSP) for Locally Registered Meat Establishment (LRME) for meat inspectors from the 10 municipalities of Bataan (Pilar has no slaughterhouse) and the City of Balanga. Said orientation aims to equip the meat inspectors the necessary management and technical knowhow in slaughtering practices with the end in view of all slaughterhouses in the Province getting a double A or even a triple A accreditation from the NMIS. 

Bataan CSF members attend BSP seminar

As an offshoot of the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement between the Provincial Government of Bataan and the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, simultaneous with the launching of the Bataan Credit Surety Fund (BCSF), a 2-day Compliance Seminar on Strategic Planning is currently being held at the Bataan Tourism Office attended by 39 members of the Bataan CSF.

Bataan conducts basic incident command system training course

Committed to providing leadership in the continuous development of strategic and systematic approach to reduce the vulnerabilities and risks and in managing the consequence of a disaster, Governor Abet S. Garcia led the heads of all Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) member agencies in a 3-day Basic Incident Command System Training Course last June 18-20, 2014 at the Subic Holiday Villas in Subic Bay, Olongapo City.

In Bataan, freeport hotel set to open in December

   Property developer LKY Group plans to open by yearend a portion of the redeveloped former Hilltop Hotel at the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB) in Mariveles town.

   The group said the project was part of its multimillion-peso tourism investment in the former Bataan Export Zone.

Thai investor hailed for environmental projects in Bataan

BALANGA CITY, Bataan-  Provincial officials here lauded yesterday a Thailand-based investor for launching various environmental projects in the country in support to the National government’s greening program.

 Wisarn Chawalitanon, President of PTT Philippines, has been leading his staff in conducting various environmental programs, such as tree planting, offering gas-for-free in exchange for planting tree, conducting environmental summit to protect and preserve the country’s environment, among others.

BALANGA CITY — The life of Bataan’s most celebrated father, statesman and leader will be immortalized as an autobiography of 2nd District Representative Enrique “Tet” Garcia, Jr. is set to be launched in July this year.

Featuring the political career, trials and major achievements of the 73-year-old father of Bataan Governor Abet Garcia, Balanga City Mayor Joet Garcia and Dinalupihan Mayor Gila Garcia, the book is entitled, “A Man Called Tet”.
