BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The City Government is eyeing to step up the rehabilitation projects which would promote pollution-free environment and develop people’s parks and recreational amenities that would prevent dumping of waste materials along the waterways leading to Manila Bay.
Ms. Roneth B. Santos, City government department head of Management and Information Services Office (MISO) rationalized the conversion of former garbage dumping areas in the villages of Cupang North, Cataning and Sibacan into Disiplina Parks serve as more productive “green development zones ” which would provide exceptional facilities for relaxation of residents and visitors.
Ms. Santos reiterated the national government program of improving Manila Bay is ably supported by Mayor Garcia who considered transformation of the current topographic eyesores into beautiful parks, floating restaurant venues and night markets and water transport location for tourists and other visitors from Central Luzon and Metro Manila.
The over-all improvement of the Disiplina Parks include fencing, installation of a vertical garden, drinking fountain, playground facilities such as seesaw and swing set, benches, mural painting and landscaping.
Ms. Santos added that Mayor Garcia is conclusive that these nature parks projects offer numerous opportunities for investment and expansion of infrastructure facilities as the provincial government has been aggressive in rolling out measures to create a more conducive business atmosphere.
