BALANGA CITY, Bataan Police authorities here will expand deployment of law enforcement security personnel for the anticipated volume of residents to pay respect and offer prayers to departed relatives in 50 cemeteries on November 1 and 2 in this province.

Senior superintendent Rhodel Sermonia, Bataan police director, said police assistance centers will be established all over the province and about 600 police officers will be assigned in public cemeteries and private memorial parks to assist local traffic enforcers to ensure the smooth flow of traffic leading to cemeteries. Another 100 other law–enforcers will be assigned in 12 police stations with two SWAT stand by teams for the first and second districts of the province.

Sermonia pointed out the strategic security plan formulated for Oplan Undas this year will likely be the same prototype as of last year when it had effectively controled and successfully put in force peacefully the atmosphere while observing the solemnity of the occasion. He added no major crime incident was recorded in the police blotter last year.

Sermonia explained further the local police will provide safety tips to motorists and residents in coordination with the Metro Bataan Development Authority (MBDA) chair Charlie Pizarro and other multi-sectoral agencies during the observance of Oplan Undas to ensure no untoward incidence will happen in the province.
