47 small and medium entrepreneurs join Galing Bataan trade fair

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – Forty seven small and medium enterprises (MSEs) participated in the annual observance of the Philippine Veterans” Week “Galing Bataan “ trade fair that opened yesterday at the Plaza Mayor de Balanga, this province.

The Galing Bataan trade fair organized by the Department of Trade and Industry(DTI) – Bataan provincial office and Provincial Tourism Office (PTO) is a regular side event plan commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan.

Ms. Thess E. Magtanong, DTI-Bataan spokesperson, said small and medium entrepreneurs who joined the ten-day trade fair would showcase and promote Bataan products such as top-quality bags, brooms, araro cookies, coffee, cashew products, processed fish, fruits and other organic agricultural products .

She explained that the trade fair is a good venue for the residents to appreciate and buy locally manufactured products and agricultural crops at competitive prices .

Records of the previous trade fairs held in the City of Balanga registered an average of P 500,000 sales for ten days operation and widely patronized by the residents and visitors, Magtanong said.

Magtanong further explained that the joint DTI-PTO project is highly important for local businessmen and traders to be exposed on the wide ranging marketing approaches and consumers need with the flooding of imported goods .
