FAB to construct 10 economic housing buildings worth P 300 million

MARIVELES, Bataan – The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Chairman and Administrator Engineer Emmanuel Pineda has revealed the construction of ten (10) economic housing projects worth P 300 million inside the huge ecozone complex.

These structures are projected to accommodate new industrial and commercial workers with the operation of new locators this year, Chairman and Administrator Pineda told mediamen during a press conference held recently.

However, Engineer Pineda has disclosed that four (4) three-storey buildings with estimated cost of P 120 million or P 30 million each are scheduled to be completed in May this year.

The chairman and administrator said the construction of economic housing projects is the result of extensive labor assessment study and investment profile looking forward to the establishment of labor-intensive and export oriented manufacturing plants at FAB.

Each economic housing building is a three-storey type structure having 39 units occupying 24 square meter floor area and can accommodate 6 occupants.

Engineer Pineda explained the positive economic trend showed more locators are motivated by the business friendly atmosphere, fiscal and non-fiscal incentives, skilled factory workers, good governance and other productive facilities.
