Negosyo Centers increase DTI business name registrations

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – With the establishment of more DTI Negosyo Centers in the province, DTI Provincial Director Nelin Cabahug said that business names registration have increased by 1,061 out of the total 5,671 BNR released last 2017 in the whole province of Bataan.

Last year (2017), four (4) negosyo centers were established and launched namely, Bagac NC, Orani NC, Samal NC and before the year ended, Pilar NC was inaugurated, catering the potential micro entrepreneurs in their respective municipalities, with a total of walk in clients that include 4Ps, PWDs, single parents, housewives, out of school youth, nego-cart beneficiaries, students and even senior citizens securing business name registration.

Cabahug said that out of the total 5,671 BNRs, topping the list with 3,157 registrants or 56%, includes sari-sari stores and retailing businesses; while a total of 2,394 or 42% comprise services wherein majority of the establishments are restaurants, food service companies, space rentals, salon, resorts and beaches; the remaining 2% or 119 registration comes from manufacturing or processed fruits, foods and bag makers which dominate the sector.

Bataan DTI Director Cabahug reiterated that with the assistance given to the micro entrepreneurs, a total of 3,726 additional jobs were reported; 7,467 employment generated under the Business Name Registrations (BNR) and a total sale of P37.114 M was accumulated through the 18 trade fairs, promotion of market matching activities and promotion of products via pasalubong centers.

DTI commits to establish more Negosyo Centers this 2018 eyeing the municipalities of Mariveles, Limay, Orion and Abucay.
