PSA Bataan Celebrates 2018 Civil Registration Month

PILAR, Bataan – The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Bataan Provincial Statistical Office enjoins public and private agencies to celebrate 2018 Civil Registration Month (2018 CRM) with the theme “#napapanahongCRVS” (Civil Registration and Vital Statistics) this February 2018.

PSA Bataan and the Local Civil Registry Offices of Bataan lined up activities such mobile registration, training on civil registration, information dissemination in schools to ensure the effective implementation of the 2018 Civil Registration Month.

Chief Statistical Specialist Ledesma L. Morante, PSA Bataan explains that the theme “#napapanahongCRVS” intentionally used # sign to make 2018 CRM more appealing to the millennials, during her lecture at 2018 CRM Regional Opening Ceremony held at SACOP Ephata, Maimpis City of San Fernando, Pampanga on February 6, 2018.

Among this year’s activities of the local civil offices are the following:

Municipal Civil Registry Office of Samal will conduct 1) Seminar on Civil Registration to Health Personnel, Day Care Workers/ Teachers and Stakeholders at Extension Building, Municipal Hall, Samal, Bataan on February 9, 2018; 2) Poster Making Contest to Selected Grade V to VI Elementary Students at SB Session Hall, Samal, Bataan on February 15, 2018; and 3) Mobile Registration in different barangays this month.

Municipal Civil Registry Office of Pilar visits 19 barangays in the town for mobile civil registration.

The highlight of 2018 CRM for the Civil Registry Offices of the City of Balanga and Municipality of Orion is the conduct of Mass Wedding on February 14, 2018 in their respective city/municipality.

On the other hand, Local Civil Registry Office of Limay concentrates on educating the students on civil registration by holding information dissemination in Limay National High School on February 14, 2018.

PSA Bataan will also make this year’s celebration felt with various activities leading to the Provincial Poster Making Contest to be held at the PSA Bataan Provincial Statistical Office, Pilar, Bataan on February 21, 2018.  

The celebration of Civil Registration Month is observed every February, Pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 682, signed by then President Corazon Aquino on 28 January 1991.
