GenPact donates computers and chairs

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – City Mayor Francis Garcia, together with top officials of GenPact, a global professional service delivering digital transformation, led the turnover ceremony of 62 sets of computers and 50 chairs for Balanga City’s learning hubs.

In his message, Mayor Francis said that he is very thankful for the generosity of GenPact officials, since the time he brought up the idea of a barangay learning hub, when they first met at Doña Francisca Barangay Learning Hub, the first learning hub established in the city and the first project of Multisectoral Governance Council (MSGC), they readily donated computers; from then on they have been the city government’s partner in giving away computers and chairs in the different barangays and schools for the learning hubs.

The computers and chairs will go to Brgy. Camacho’s learning hub, and Brgy. Bagong Silang. Mayor Francis also said that they will be putting up computer facilities at the the Bataan National High School and even in the elementary schools.

Mr. Dan Reyes, Manager of GenPAct, in his response said that they are also thankful to Mayor Francis Garcia and other city government officials for giving them the opportunity to help, that thru this, they were able to give back something to the community.  Reyes added that they are happy to note that the students have shown big improvements in their studies thru the learning hubs, and that they look forward to more and fruitful partnerships in line with the program.

To date, GenPact has already donated around 150 computers and 100 chairs in different barangays and will donate more. Lately they also donated a television set, office chairs, school supplies and food packs for the students at Our Lady of Lourdes Elementary school, this city.
