Central Luzon rests in the middle at Palarong Pambansa

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – With 73 medals, the Central Luzon Regional Athletics Association (CLRAA) delegates are stuck at the middle position in the 61st Palarong Pambansa held at the Quirino Stadium, Bantay, Ilocos Sur from April 15 to 21.

Region 3 ranked 9th in the most number of medals along with Cordillera Administrative Region, while 8th in the most number of gold medals (22), majority of which came from Regular Sports category.

Even if there was no significant movement in their ranking, the number of medals increased from 62, compared with only 15 gold medals last year.

Altogether, their team bagged 21 gold, 21 silver, and 24 bronze medals in the Regular Sports; one silver and two bronze in the Demo Sports; and one gold, one silver, and two bronze in Para Games.

Meanwhile, the National Capital Region retained its crown having 111 gold, 83 silver, and 62 bronze, for a total of 256 medals.

The 62nd Palarong Pambansa will be held in Davao City, Davao del Sur next year.
