Chinese experts to train Bataeños on monorail and E-bus maintenance

BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The recent signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Provincial Government of Bataan and the BYD Auto Industry Company Limited of China for comprehensive new energy vehicles, the Monorail transit system and Electric buses, aims to solve the local traffic congestion and at the same time optimize the transport condition in the province.

Gov. Abet Garcia said that the fast economic growth and high value added employment opportunities that Bataan is currently enjoying, brings about the need to develop better infrastructures,  educational institutions, health facilities and transportation system to name a few.

With this development, both the provincial government and BYD of China are committed to pursue a sustainable growth in the use of a greener transport solution that will sustain environmentally sound communities and provide smart growth technologies with the initial purchase of 10 E-Buses for Balanga City by December of 2018 and later on the monorail transit system.

The BYD group understands the concern of Bataeños in terms of maintenance that BYD General Manager Liu Xueliang himself assured the Government of Bataan that they all have the expertise in the maintenance of the Electrified transportation and will transfer the technology and train the people who will be assigned to maintain said multi-layered transportation.
