Pangandaman leads AFAB–BEZNA dialogue on housing, community issues in FAB

Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) Administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman led a dialogue between the Bataan Economic Zone Neighborhood Association (BEZNA) and the agency on April 14 to address housing concerns, policies, and other community issues inside the Freeport Area of Bataan (FAB).

Pangandaman, together with Deputy Administrator for Operations Atty. Michael Angelo Paderanga and other AFAB officials, met with BEZNA representatives to discuss key concerns affecting residents.

The meeting served as a venue to exchange ideas, clarify issues, and outline next steps to strengthen coordination and maintain open communication.

AFAB explained that the FAB Residential Pass and ID is meant to improve security and proper identification, in line with existing rules, and does not affect residents’ access, housing rights, or residency status.

The agency also clarified the status of land-related concerns, noting that discussions on the possible sale of housing units are ongoing and will follow proper procedures and approvals.

Both sides agreed to continue coordination through legal guidance and to form a joint technical working group composed of AFAB, BEZNA, and barangay representatives.
