Balanga City Mayor aligns with Duterte’s economic thrust

Mayor Francis Anthony S. Garcia has expressed his enthusiastic reaction to President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s dream of expanding the country’s economic and development thrust.
In his four-page speech delivered before some 1,000 guests, awardees, participating government, and private agencies in the 2nd InvestBalanga Awards rites held at Emiliana Hall, Mayor Garcia said Balanga City is crafting a parallel growth scheme to become a Smart University Town.

Mayor Garcia enumerated the objectives for the pillar smart economy, to double the number of Micro-Small-Medium Enterprises (MSME) and cooperatives, to generate a capital investment of P 20 billion and 10,000 tech jobs and to achieve P 30 billion gross sales of businesses.

The City government acknowledged the valuable contributions of business groups and awarded top 25 businesses, top 25 Real Estate Taxpayers and 8 others for special awards
Mayor Garcia urges Manila-based locators to open more establishments in the City and in the province to sustain tangible and strategic plans and programs which would withstand the business-friendly investment status of Bataan.
