Bataan officials commend SAF commando

PROVINCIAL CAPITOL, Bataan – Members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) here passed Monday a resolution commending the bravery and heroism of PNP – SAF commando John Lloyd Sumbilla, one of the 44 policemen who were killed in a fierce gun battle with MILF and BIFF forces in Mamasapano, Maguindanao a few weeks ago.

In a resolution sponsored by Board Member Gaudencio Ferrer that was unanimously approved, it states that the heroism and bravery shown by Sumbilla of Morong town, should be recognized as a real hero in the eyes of the Filipino people as he sacrificed his life for the sake of the country. A Criminology graduate in Dagupan, Sumbilla’s late father was the former chief of police of Sulat, Eastern Samar.

Earlier, no less than Rep. Tet Garcia and DILG Secretary Mar Roxas visited and condoled with the bereaved family of John Lloyd Sumbilla who is married to a teacher Raechel, a native of Morong town.
