Bataan PD asks cops to focus on community relations

BATAAN Police Director P/Col. Villamor Tuliao asked his policemen to change parameter in its drive against illegal drugs and instead focus on community relations.
Col. Tuliao said during the turn-over ceremonies for outgoing Orion Police Chief P/Maj. Dennis Orbista and in-coming police chief P/Maj. M. Alvarez, former deputy police chief of Balanga City.

“Nakita nyo naman kung gaano pinangalagaan ni Major Orbista at mga kasama ang Orion,” said Tuliao. He proudly said that the Bataan PNP introduced rehabilitation and wellness program to the point where the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) declared Bataan province as a model for drug rehabilitation program.

Tuliao also the barangay captains to do their share in making the community drug-free. “Malaking bagay ang magagawa ng ating mga barangay captain. Sana magtulung-tulong tayo,” he added.
For her part, Major Alvarez said she will try to do more what Maj. Orbista did in Orion in terms of campaign against illegal drugs and all kinds of criminality.
Orion Mayor Tonypep Raymundo said he hopes that the municipal government will get additional police force to keep an even more peaceful community and make it a better place to live in.
