BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints conducted a financial literacy seminar for the personnel of Bataan District Jail (BDJ) and persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) aimed at helping them become self sufficient and self reliant in terms of managing their finances.
Bro. Ferico Calosa, facilitator of the program, discussed the core principles of financial management and shared his experience on becoming a successful entrepreneur to 27 assigned personnel of Bataan District Jail last June 20.
Previously, a total of 14 PDLs from the BDJ-male dorm took part in the “Starting my own business” seminar (12 sessions) where they were taught how to be financially self-sufficient and self-reliant as they prepare themselves for eventual reintegration in the mainstream society.
