Almost 2,000 people trooped to Bataan People’s Center (BPC) right at the Bataan provincial capitol to watch the Sen. Pacquiao-Thurman fight just before 1 noon Sunday, and their efforts paid off in a way since Manny won the bout via split decision.
The boxing aficionados mostly from Balanga City’s villages and nearby towns of Abucay and Pilar arrived at the event center shortly before 11 a.m. with their bottled mineral waters and snack to catch the 12-round fight via satellite courtesy of Bataan provincial government.
Bataan Gov. Abet Garcia usually open the People’s Center every time Sen. Pacquiao had a fight to local folks to afford them to watch the momentous boxing bout for free.
The audience occupied the precious seats without much hassle given the good air-conditioning system that had been installed in the Center.
