He also said that the competition showcases the world-class technical and vocational skills of Filipinos.
The PNSC is the highest level of skills competition in the country organized by TESDA.
The gold medallists from Central Luzon are Rey Mark S. De Mayo, beauty therapy; Angelica I. Rafallo, ladies/men hairdressing; Wilfredo Miguel P. Calimbas,welding; Gino A. Eulatic, electrical installation; Keith A.Beja, electronics; Jasper Kaiser H. De Vera, cooking; Joshua D. Mina ,mechanical engineering design-CAD; Percian Joseph C. Borja, web design; Francis Erizz Florentino, IT software solutions for business; and Christopher J. Gania, graphic design and technology.
Aside from bagging 10 gold medals, Region III competitors also got silver and bronze medals, and diplomas of excellence in different trade areas.
Region IV-A and National Capital Region came in second and third, respectively, as the regions with the most number of gold medals.
The national organizing committee of the PNSC will meet at the end of the month to assess the overall results and determine the composition of the delegation to the ASC, according to agency official statement.
The agency statement also said that the training of the delegates to ASC will begin in May until October in Metro Manila or at the competitors’ respective regions.
The ASC was held in Jakarta, Indonesia last year.
