CSC-Bataan recognizes HAP awardees

“Everyone aspires for recognition, but only a few earn it.”


CITY of BALANGA, Bataan
– The Civil Service Commission (CSC) Field Office-Bataan, in its bid to give due recognition to state officials and employees for their outstanding contributions and achievements in the delivery of public service, recently-held the 2016 Bataan Circle of Heroes, Lingkod Bayani ng Bataan in the so-called Honor Awards Program (HAP) Awarding at the Lou-is Resort and Restaurant, this City, yesterday.

“If there were a few good men in the past, we can say that we have a share and good harvest of great men and women in the public service, our Lingkod Bayani ng Bataan. To all our awardees who are dedicated, committed and selfless to make a difference in the daily lives of the Filipino people, I congratulate all of you and may your tribe increase ten folds for the benefit of the next generation,” said Dir. Edgardo Cruz, Director II of the CSC Field Office-Bataan, while delivering his message during the event.

 

“At the end of the recognition rite, we hope to achieve our objective: To make you feel good about your achievements and accomplishments in the public service. We want others to be inspired and emulate your deeds and examples,” Dir. Cruz added.

 

In accordance with the CSC’s constitutional mandate to adopt measures to promote morale, efficiency, integrity, responsiveness and courtesy in the civil service, as well as to strengthen the merit and awards systems, the Civil Service Commission administers an annual, nationwide Honor Awards Program (HAP).

 

The HAP gives three awards category annually:

  1. Presidential Lingkod Bayan Award – conferred to an individual or group of individuals for exceptional or extraordinary contributions resulting from an idea or performance that has nationwide impact on public interest, security and patrimony.
  2. Outstanding Public Officials and Employees or Dangal ng Bayan Award – is conferred to an individual for performance of extraordinary act of public service and consistent demonstration of exemplary ethical behavior on the basis of the official or employee’s observation of the eight norms of conduct and ethical behavior provided under RA 6713.
  3. Civil Service Commission Pag-asa Award – conferred to an individual or group of individuals for outstanding contribution resulting from an idea or performance which directly benefit more than one department of the government.

 

Ms. Magdalena Abella, CPO President, in her welcome remarks, pointed out that she believes that success is not the fruit of one’s ambition, and that success is the fruit of the desire to achieve.

 

“Our honorees have set their goals and bend every energy toward reaching these goals; they put a little extra push, a little extra patience, into their every work. Thus, we find it suitably fitting to recognize their diligence and hardwork,” Ms. Abella added.

 

The awardees were as follows:

Best Human Resource Practice Awardee – Provincial Government of Bataan received by Mr. Geoffrey Loyola and Ms. Luz Enriquez

 

CSC Pag-asa Awardees – Dr. Glory V. Baltazar of Bataan General Hospital, Ms. Leonila Buenaventura, Agriculturist II of the Municipal Government of Orani and Orani Water District Innovators Team

 

Presidential Lingkod Bayan Awardee – Gov. Albert Raymod Garcia of the Provincial Government of Bataan
