DOH-Bataan gathers NDP point persons

CITY of BALANGA, Bataan – The Department of Health (DOH)-Bataan is currently convening the Nurse Deployment Point Persons (NDP) to equip them with the skills required as the need arises, held at the Crown Royale Hotel, this City, today.

“Marami sila per municipality, meron din tayong PHAs o yung Public Health Associates, so additional manpower din, bigay na naman ng health human resources coming from the region,” said Dr. Francisco Hermoso III, Provincial DOH Officer.

 

“Simula nang magkaroon kami ng budget since 2013, doon ginawa ang monthly meetings na ito,” Dr. Hermoso added.

 

The first agenda during the meeting was the Expanded Program on Immunization (EPI) or the “bakuna.” Next is the “Reaching Every Purok” which means that those children, who are unable to go to a health center, will be the ones to be reached by our NDPs.

 

“The National Household Targeting System Profiling Report (NHTS-PR), under the Department of Social Welfare and Development is also being profiled by the DOH,” Dr. Hermoso shared.

 

Regarding the Dengue School Based Immunization, “usually, nagkakaroon ng maraming dengue cases sa mga school children kaya ginagawa namin ito sa mga Grade Four students,” he stressed.

 

Other matters discussed during the meeting were the dengue cases database and reporting for the (SBIs), performance tracking deployed human resources for health and the monitoring of the school-based clinic.
